Important Notice: The Krewe of Bella Royale is an all-female organization. Membership is selective and based on alignment with the values, mission, and participation expectations of the krewe.

How Do I Join?
Females interested in becoming members of the Krewe of Bella Royale may submit a Membership Interest Application
during the designated application period. Selected applicants will be invited to attend a membership
meet and greet session
before final membership decisions are made.
Submission of an application does not guarantee membership in the Krewe of Bella Royale.
2. Why Join Bella Royale?
Membership offers the opportunity to celebrate Mardi Gras while building meaningful friendships and participating in exciting krewe activities.
Members enjoy:
• Participating in Mardi Gras parades and performances
• Attending social events and krewe gatherings
• Participating in community service initiatives
• Building lasting friendships and sisterhood
3. Who Can Join?
Applicants must:
• Be female and at least 21 years of age
• Be willing to participate in rehearsals, parades, and krewe events
• Enjoy teamwork, performance, and community involvement
Women who are enthusiastic about celebration, performance, and sisterhood are encouraged to apply.
4. Do I need dance experience to join?
No. Previous dance experience is not required. The choreography is designed to be easy to learn, and members
will practice routines together during scheduled rehearsals.
5. Can I be involved in other Mardi Gras krewes?
Yes. Membership in the Krewe of Bella Royale does not restrict participation in other Mardi Gras krewes.
6. Do members have to purchase their own costumes?
Yes. Members are responsible for purchasing their parade costume and any additional attire required for events.
7. Are there membership dues?
Yes. Annual dues are required in addition to the cost of the costume(s), but dues do not cover all expenses for the
entire year. This information will be covered in greater detail during the informational and new member meetings.
8. Are rehearsals required?
Members are expected to attend rehearsals in order to learn choreography and prepare for parade performances.
If you are unable to attend in person, there will be virtual options.
9. Can I join if I do not live locally?
Yes. Women from anywhere in the United States may apply for membership; however, members are responsible for
attending required events and performances.
